AAOS Show Display Report

I hope each of you got to see the AAOS display at our show. The display and the flowers were GREAT! Even though we took a second for the display during judging, the people again chose our display as number one for the People's Choice Award. There were 95 plants in the display donated by 17 members, and 52 of the plants won ribbons and trophies. Last year, only about one-third of the plants entered in our display won ribbons or trophies, compared to over half of the plants entered this year. This is a good indication that as a whole, we are becoming better growers - so enjoy your wins! In addition to the display, two of our members also won ribbons and a trophy for their art work and photography.

I would like to thank Dianna Borel, Susan Crippen, Darlene Drury, Neal Foster, Paige Hartman, Barb Leavitt, Dennis Moser, Louisa Pieper, Jan Turner, Dottie & Harry Winter, Ruth Wright (who flew up from Texas for the show!), and Chuck Zill for their help either in set up or take down of the display. I know there were a few others that came and helped for a short time as well ~ thanks to you also. The success of this display is a credit to all of those who helped - and we were done by a little after 6:00 so that everyone could enjoy the party.
