Orchids Indoors
The November meeting will feature several of our members, and how they grow their
orchids indoors, without greenhouses. Slides will be shown of the various set-ups,
which include windowsills, artificial lights, Hossein Bina's homemade "Orchid
Box", and Sean Eaton's Orchidarium which he wrote about previously.

Last month, several members were puzzled by us having a little more food before the
meeting than usual. The AAOS Board usually joins our guest speakers at a restaurant
before the meeting. Andrea had already been to three Italian restaurants in a row,
and as we normally go to an Italian restaurant, plus the increased traffic from the
football game, we decided at the last minute to have an impromptu "potluck"
at Matthaei.
This went smoother than we anticipated, so we decided to have a potluck before the
meeting whenever there is no featured speaker, so for any AAOS member interested,
please bring a dish to pass and utensils. Set-up is at 11:00 AM, pot-luck is at 12:00
noon.
Setup and schmooze time will begin at 2:00 PM, with the program starting at 2:30
PM. The business meeting will follow soon after the program ends.
