Nine MOS'ers were lucky enough to make the trip to the World Orchid
Conference in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil last month. They were Carolyn
Butcher, Gurdon Dennis, John Fancher, Georgian Franczyk,
Cindy Gatny, Renie Gatny-Smith, Clara Molnar, Karen Muir and
Dick Wagner. We are told that they had a wonderful time at the
conference and also on their side trips to the Ariau Jungle Lodge
which is built on the top of trees on the Rio Nigro, a tributary of
the Amazon river and the Igaussu (Ig-gw-soo) falls.
We understand that two of the party lost their seats in Miami and
had to make an 8 hour detour to catch up -- we're not going to
name names but do GD & JF ring any bells? Some people will do
anything to get an upgrade to first class. Watch future issues for more
on the conference by some of the attendees!!
